23rd August 2005 sees the 700th anniversary of the death of William Wallace, while 5th September 2005 is the 10th anniversary of the European premiere of Braveheart.

 
 

 

 


22nd February
2005: My film 'Small Love' was selected for a showing at the second Intercultural Film Showcase (IF2) at the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen.

I had the pleasure of attending the showing, accompanied by David Strachan, the producer of 'Small Love'.

2004: TORCH launch party at 'Why Not?' nightclub in Edinburgh .

2004: TORCH launch at Ottaker's in Edinburgh .

7th September
2004: TORCH launch tour events programme finalised.

24th August 2004: Lin Anderson reading (and singing performance with Sedenka) at Word Power event at the Edinburgh Book Festival Fringe.

21st August 2004: DRIFTNET to be translated into Russian by publisher Inostranka.

20th August
2004: TORCH, the second book in the Rhona MacLeod series, is selected as WH Smith's Book of the Month in Scotland for September 2004.

24th February
2004: Following an auction where bids were received from all five main mass-market publishers in Germany, DRIFTNET and TORCH translation rights into German were sold to Goldmann Verlag of Munich, an  imprint of Random House Germany.

10th Feb 2004: MURDER IN MERCHISTON
Lin Anderson lives in the quiet Merchiston area of Edinburgh, along with writers Ian Rankin, Alexander McCall Smith, and J K Rowling. The area was in shock when the dismembered body of disgraced former schoolteacher Alan Wilson was found dumped in a back garden ... (more)

15th Sept 2003:
DRIFTNET in the Scottish Top 10 best sellers at No. 6. Lin Anderson in London for the Rest of the UK  launch event at Ottakar's in Greenwich, and to attend 'Sing for Water' on Sunday 14th.

6th Sept 2003:
DRIFTNET in the Scottish Top 10 best sellers at No. 4, and continues to get good press coverage.

30th Aug 2003: For the third week running,
DRIFTNET remains at No. 2 in the Scottish Top 10 best sellers.

26th Aug 2003: Lin Anderson is a guest on Scott Wilson's afternoon show on Forth Radio. Final Ottakar's
DRIFTNET event in Scotland at Edinburgh George Street branch.

23rd Aug 2003: As the launch 'tour' reaches Stirling,
DRIFTNET remains at No. 2 in the Scottish Top 10 best sellers.

19-21st
Aug 2003: Ottakar's DRIFTNET events at Ayr, East Kilbride, and Glasgow.

16th Aug 2003:
DRIFTNET is launched at the Edinburgh Book Festival, and on the same day goes to No. 2 in the Scottish Top 10 best sellers. News comes through that DRIFTNET is now the second fastest-selling book in UK branches of Ottakar's bookshops.

14-15th Aug 2003: Ottakar's
DRIFTNET events at Inverness and Aviemore.

9th Aug 2003: Following a first week of strong sales,
DRIFTNET goes straight into the Top 10 Scottish Best Sellers at No. 5.

1st Aug 2003:
DRIFTNET goes on sale in bookshops.
