14th Sept 2004: The launch event for TORCH took place at Ottakar's  George Street branch in Edinburgh.

Kenny, the Ottaker's Events Manager, introduced Gavin MacDougall of Luath Press, who gave some of the background to the success of DRIFTNET. Gavin then introduced Lin. who outlined and the origins of TORCH, the second book in the Rhona MacLeod series. Lin read a passage, introducing Severino MacRae, the Fire Investigator, and recounting his initial fiery meeting with Rhona. This was well received, and Kenny wound up the formal part of the proceedings with his usual request to all concerned to buy copies of Lin's books and take the opportunity to get them signed by the author.
