20th Aug 2003: The fourth event of the Ottakar's DRIFTNET launch 'tour' was at their new East Kilbride branch. This was another two-author event in conjunction with Denise Mina, who was promoting her latest book SANCTUM.

There was a good turnout of keen crime fiction readers in the lovely new shop in the Plaza Shopping Centre. After the readings, there was an extended question and answer session.

Many interesting issues were covered, including crime vs literary fiction, the work of other crime authors, and sources of inspiration for stories.

The event was made all the more enjoyable by the assistance and participation of the enthusiastic and knowledgeable Ottakar's branch staff.
