With one year to go until the first
Bloody Scotland crimewriting festival (in September 2012),
we had a launch event at the wonderful
Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum.
There was a great turnout of crime writers, sponsors, and press
and TV. Alex Gray and I explained the origins of the idea of having a
Scottish international crimewriting festival, and thanked
everyone who has put in so much effort up to this point to make
the dream become reality.
Ian Rankin was there to voice
strong support.
