I was delighted to
accept an invitation to visit Whitdale Primary School by my fellow
writer and now teacher Richard Page.
Richard and I met many years ago when we were both new writers on a
7:84 Theatre course in Glasgow.
My remit for
the visit was to talk about writing to two P7 classes, take
questions, and the best part of all, listen to a selection of story
pitches. |
I have to admit to being terrified of pitching myself, so I was
doubly impressed by the delivery of the pitches and the strength of
storytelling from the pupils.
I want to say a big thank you to the members of P7 and to the Whitdale staff who made my visit so
memorable and enjoyable.
