RIVER CHILD WINS AT CELTIC MEDIA FESTIVAL 17th April 2008

AWARDS CEREMONY HOSTS Mary Kennedy              Dáithí Ó Sé RTÉ                           TG4 Lin Anderson story RIVER CHILD won the award for best Short Drama at the 2008 Celtic Media Festival in Galway. It was the only Scottish Finalist in the category. Bob Collins, Chair of the International Screen Jury confirmed that the decision of the jury was unanimous. He said the judges found RIVER CHILD quite beautiful and very moving.       2008 WINNER FOR SHORT DRAMA     RIVER CHILD   Producer: Mattias Karlsson   Director: Damian Wood   Writer:   Lin Anderson   The other judges were Soazig Daniellou from Brittany, Huw Jones from Wales, Paul Larkin from Ireland and Ishbel MacLean from Scotland. On a good day for Scottish drama, THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND won the best feature film category at the festival.
