| DARK FLIGHT BOOK LAUNCH -
WATERSTONE'S EDINBURGH 26th July
2007 |
 |
|
|
 |
 |
DARK FLIGHT was launched on publication day at Waterstone's
George Street branch in Edinburgh.
There was a super turn-out of family, friends, fans, and
other authors. |

It is very difficult to
select a section of a crime thriller to read, as it will usually
give away something that might spoil things for the reader who will
be starting from the beginning of the book. I have therefore tended
to stick to reading book openings in the past, and the DARK FLIGHT
launch was no exception.
With Juju
featuring strongly in DARK FLIGHT, I also read out (photo above) a
witch doctor advertisement from my time in Nigeria, with its remedy
(from pre-viagra days) for a 'tired
penis'.
I was accused afterwards of finding any excuse to use the p-word
during a book launch, thereby carrying on a tradition that goes back to the
DRIFTNET launch (think of Sean making breakfast for Rhona ...). |

Honestly - she was
bringing it for her mum!

When Waterstone's closed, the party moved along George Street to
The Living Room to
continue the celebrations. |
