'What is ane KING? Nought
but ane officer'
It was like being part of
history to be at the first performance of the full version of Sir David
Lindsay's A SATIRE OF THE THREE ESTATES since 1554, outdoors, in
glorious sunshine, in the gardens of Linlithgow Palace. Five wonderful
hours of what is very much a Play for Today, and the most important play
produced in Scotland before the 20th century. (photos from performance
on 8th June, 2013)
